With the shorter, colder days fishing at Manor Farm has slowed down somewhat, nonetheless Jonny ‘Bad Boy’ Roberts (pictured) snared an 18lb common on Becks Lake late Sunday morning to a yellow Manilla wafter fished in open water. On the Canal Gary Dunning was catching carp fishing double maggot and Queen’s Works held a match on Blunham , Steve Dunham and Paul Stokes amongst others were catching carp as well as silver fish and Peter Hennigan picked up a 4lb late season tench. Marek Jakubowski was fishing the River Ivel with a Fox rubber shad and picked up a good pike. A late report from last week from Mark who fished a day session on Booneys with hook bait only, a bright pop up on a chod, and caught 7 carp up to 23lb. This weekend Josh Mabbit landed a 15 lb mirror on Booneys. Pike season is well underway now and we will shortly be running a ‘TasterDay’ with all equipment and bait provided to help those new to this branch of the sport.
