Damsel this week has seen a 19-9 to Richard Saunders using Manilla, 7 to 16lb for Tony Virgo and a nice koi to Josh Virgo, while Scott Holton aged 12 banked a fish weighing in at 20-7. Over on Carp lake Tom Burns from Korda paid us a visit and picked up 3 to 18-4., Ryan Simmons had a 21lb and a 17lb and Kevin Tingey (pictured) captured what is possibly the biggest carp to come out of Carp Lake this year, weighing in at 28-2, it came at 3am to a Krill bottom bait. Olly Byrne caught 6 bream and 4 carp on Becks and Tom Coleman caught a 19lb common. Booneys saw 3 fish to 24lb fall to regular Chris Hayward but once again it is Winters Lake that has shone through this week. Daniel Curtis had 2 commons at 29-11 and 30-8 fishing pop ups in the margins, Adam Fye a beautiful scaley at 29-6 and a 24-8 common, Corky banked a 29-6 common on a snoman and Andy Baker caught a 30lb mirror and a 20lb plated mirror. Saturday saw the first match in the Autumn Open Series on the Canal, 1st place to Paul Boltryk with 96-8, 2nd place to John Patmore with 71-12, 3rd place to Karl Lockyear with 58-8 and 4th to Malcolm Theakston with 43-8.
