All Lakes Open

This week has once again seen several anglers beat their personal best here at Manor Farm. On Damsel Richard Pigram Caught 2 to 20lb on Krill bottom baits, Connor 3 to 18lb and 8lb bream.

On Becks David Coales had a Fantastic 48 hour session fishing Monday to Wednesday. He bagged 38 fish – 24 carp, the biggest ones were 21.02, 20.02, 19.06, 16.06 and 16.01, only 6 were under double with smallest being about 7lb. He also caught 9 bream around the 5lbmark with the biggest at 9.02 and 5 tench around the 3lb mark with the biggest at 5lb. Most of the fish came to solid bags with 2 pieces of plastic corn fished over the top of hemp, corn, pellets and crushed, chopped and whole boilies. At the weekend Callum Ratty caugh 2 at 21lb and 17lb. Gary Faber netted 5 carp from 14lb to 19lb and 2 tench. Phil Rannow 8 carp to from 8lb – 19lb and 2 bream, one at 8lb and a tench. Michael Portley landed a 16lb carp and 4 bream, one at 12lb.


Over on Carp Lake Barry Neale and James Goodman fished Carp Lale for 2 nights 1st – 3rd May. Barry was rewarded with 5 to 17-04 and James banked a stunning 11-08 dark common along with his PB at 20lb 9pictured). A group of friends fished the Becks side of the lake: Ben Breeze taking 3 to 23lb, Alan Newman 4 to 16lb including a 15lb koi, Melissa Farrugia 2 to 25lb, James Massey 2 to 21-07 and Anthony 2 to 21lb. Another group on the car park side saw Lewis Mower catch 6 to 23-01, Dave Wood 9 to 24lb and Charlie Seaman 4 to 20lb. Jay on his first time on Carp lake was another to beat his PB at 20lb. Charlie Unwins banked a 21lb common and Paul Trask a 26-08 mirror and 3 tench.

Saturday on Blunham hosted the 4th match in the Spring Open Series: 1st was Dave Carter on peg 5 with 60-08, 2nd Andy Tebbit with 20-12, 3rd M Drayton with 16-12 and 4th Dennis Page with 14-0. On Sunday Alex Jay netted his PB, a 14lb common along with an 8lb, fishing with him Matt Dudley-Cave caught 4 to 9lb

On Booneys Paul Weston worked hard over 4 nights to catch 7 to 23lbs. Dave Cowan fishing in one of the island swims had a 27lb common, a 25lb mirror and 2 other commons of 15lb and 10lb to Manilla. John Bird banked 2 commons to 18lb, Paul Hargreaves a 16lb common and Kevin Tingey a 17lb common

On Winters Jack Reynolds fishing from Sunday night to Tuesday, had 6 fish including 4 twenties to 29-06. Liam Reekie a 28-07 common to a Peaches and Cream pop up tipped with maggots on a Ronnie Rig. Sean Edwards pop up tipped with fake corn smashed his previous PB of 19-06 with a 28-05. Geoff Reid banked a 17-08 and a 36-05 mirror, his PB and the biggest from the lake so far this year.
